What We're Reading Wednesday - Volume 1

I told Lee he totally needs to get on this bandwagon because he reads way more and way more interesting stuff... but for now you'll have to suffer through our boring-ish stuff. I'll add his if he decides to be a team player.

{Team Captain decided to participate}

Supposedly... supposedly The Eucharist Makes the Church is the only book he's reading right now which I find almost UNBELIEVABLE because usually Papa is reading 2-4 books at any given time. I'm just glad our fearless reader leader decided to play along :  )

I just got The Whole-Brain Child from the UPS driver this afternoon. I ordered ASAP after a ever so awesome reader suggested it after my post on E's swim class M-E-L-T-D-O-W-N. Its a book I'm excited to ready which means I am 10 times more liking to actually pick it up

E

Just got the October edition of High Five in the mail - which she find to be AWESOME when she gets mail. So far it remains intact and not too damaged but just give it another week.

R

She's way into the Doggie and cannot eekk out Clifford. So far she has not consumed it during her unsupervised reading time : ) Thank goodness for board books!!!

Got any other suggestions? I could totally get into this link up because I REALLY SHOULD READ MORE!!!!

    1. I read the intro of WBC last night and it seems like it is going to be really really really interesting. And in light of our major meltdown at preschool this morning, anything I can do to help 1. understand why the meltdowns occur and 2. help her work through them is going to be rewarding for the both of us!

  2. We used to have a subscription to High Five for John Paul and he loved it! Gotta convince my MIL to get him one again :)

  3. We have Highlights Hello! And our issue just came as well. I love that its fairly baby proof. Good to know High Five is more like Highlights Classic. And I really want to read The Whole Brain Child now. Thanks for the idea!

    1. Can you please describe 'fairly baby proof'? R loves 'reading' stuff in her crib but she can be a destroyer when it comes to books and magazines. The High Five is definitely far from baby proof or even toddler proof. I think E has been getting High Five for 18 months now and some of ours have been pretty torn up but she loves to go back and look at the old ones. I have pondered long term High Five preservation and have a few ideas up my sleeve : )
